Blogger Profile- Shauna Blakeney

Just as another will never fully experience your dreams no matter how detailed the explanation, no other will ever be able to experience the world through your eyes.   This is the heartbeat for my love for photography.  To not only be able to share my perspective of this life with others but to see how others capture their moments and details in this life.
As a photography student I have learned and expanded my options two fold.  In the beginning I had a very direct idea of what kind of photography career I was interested in pursuing.  These days with my knowledge building I am finding it more and more difficult to choose a single genre, though I have been focusing on portraiture in the Mt Hood area and have been loving it!
At the core, I love the human experience and wish to photograph everything possible to tell the story of it. To me, there are few things in our world as timeless and truthful as how we are captured in a single image frozen in time, and this my friends will never get old.

Blogger Profile - Addison Sapp

HI GUYS!
Addie Sapp here. I'm a born and raised Oregonian. I'm a photographer, preschool teacher and adventurer at heart. I never thought I would become a photographer, but it's my passion and I can't ever seem to put my camera down. Photography has never been a job or chore to me but something I look forward to, an outlet. There's something so special about photographing people and being able to tell a story through their picture.

It all started with one girl, Instagram, an iPhone and the VSCO app. I loved the idea of being able to share my pictures and getting feedback. I got lots of good response and people suggesting that I take this photography thing to the next level. So I did. I bought my Canon 70D and started taking things a little bit more seriously. It was so much better than taking low quality pictures with my iPhone 5s. Don't get me wrong, I'm still using my iPhone, but now I'm able to take things up a notch.

I have found the thing I love the most, photography.

Blogger Profile - Erin Person

Hi, I’m Erin. I have been following my husband around the world as an Air Force wife for over thirteen years. I've had many adventures; best of which have included raising our two wonderful children. We have returned and put down roots in Oregon. I am excited about people and photography. Are you wild, serious, or somewhere in-between?  With couples, families, and children I like to capture the natural way about them. I love how a photograph can transport people and connect them to memories.

I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember, my love for photography came from my father, who passed away when I was 12, he loved taking pictures and loved capturing family memories  and he is my biggest inspiration. I grew up in Colorado and Washington State the majority of my life, and I am so blessed, to have to the opportunity to shoot some of the most beautiful people, landscapes and memories.   My love for capturing special moments in people’s lives, are the moments I treasure the most, whether that is capturing your husband seeing you walk down the aisle on your wedding day, falling in love with your best friend, admiring a beautiful view, or simply having fun.  “Photography is not just about picking up a camera and taking a picture, it’s about the stories behind the image.”

I am a freelance photographer! I am a little shy at first but after, good luck trying to get me to stop talking. I love being creative, while also being detailed oriented. I’m still trying to find out what I want to do with my life, but I love taking photos and experimenting with the variables that apply. I like stepping back and looking at how light bends and reflects. When I go to leave for anywhere I leave a good hour so when I see perfect lighting, I can hop out and go exploring.
