Photographer Feature: Kenneth Cappello

Kenneth Cappello is a commercial photographer based in Los Angeles, originally from Houston, TX. When he was 10 or 12 years old, his dad gave him a Pentax manual camera, of which KC would learn how to use by shooting his friends skateboarding in the 1980's. He got his start in the photography industry as a prop assistant to big-time commercial photographer David LaChappelle.
KC shoots fashion, sports, music, advertising and celebrity for editorial, promotional and advertisements. He also directs music videos and commercials. He became friends with the band The Kills early in their career and was invited to tour with them as their documentary photographer. He eventually published the photos as a book. His childhood skateboarding photos were also published in book form.
