   A classic in the meme world is the Condescending Wonka, the original image is a taken clip from the Gobstopper scene in 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka, played by Gene Wilder presents a sort of snarky facial expression which aligns nicely with the sarcastic quotes placed in by fans. The first sighting of these Condescending Wonka memes was posted March 2nd 2011, on Quickmeme. 

You can tell by the image above, the humor that these started out with did not hold the same sarcastic natures, more gritty; starting this as Creepy Wonka until November 27th, 2011 that was changed within the community.
