Lee Jeffries

Lee Jeffries works as a fulltime Accountant and is a self taught Photographer born in Manchester,New England, He started shooting sporting events but after an encounter with a young homeless girl in the streets of London, who he came to find out had lost both her parents at a young age and that's how she ended up living in the streets, he has now devoted his photography career to helping the homeless people around the world.
What Lee Jeffries does is gets to know the homeless people, he gets into their environment and really gets to know each person before he asks to take their picture. Then he looks into their eyes to bring out the feelings of that individual. He claims his work is not Photojournalism, nor Portraiture. Jeffries says "Its religious or spiritual iconography"
Since that encounter with the homeless young girl Jeffries has strived to raise an awareness of homeless people and raise funds for them as well. He has published 2 books, which the proceeds go to help the homeless and has won prizes in photo contests and he donates his winnings  to charities to help raise money to feed the hungry.

Lee Jeffries posts his images on Instagram, Flikr, Facebook,500px, Artsy and many other social media sites in order to raise awareness of the homeless as well as bring insight to the beauty of these people. He doesn't want to exploit these people and his photographs show these folks in their own light. each individual has a spiritual glimmer in their eyes that capture the viewer and enables them to see each person as unique, beautiful in their space.
