"Confused Girl" is an image featuring a teenage girl, who has a rather frustrated/confused/disgusted face that went viral on Instagram, with many different captions that suited the situation and the look on her face. The meme gained so much attention because the subject of the photo sued Instagram for allowing her photo to turn into a meme.
On May 11th, 2014 a Facebook group titled "Confused Black Girl Meme" was created. It slowly grew quite a large following, as it has gained over 68,000 likes.
