Photographer feature - Stan Moniz

I literally bumped into Stan one night at Trillium lake while shooting the stars and trying to keep our headlamp beams out of each other's shots. Originally a surf photographer from Hawaii he moved to southern California and became a member of a professional touring band, Stan has branched out into adventure photography and also offers photography workshops. His images are very clean, bright and vibrant which really draws me in. His technically strong work is further enhanced with solid image processing. Those of us who shoot landscapes or the outdoors can appreciate the struggle with weather, accessibility and available light. Stan puts himself in the right place, at the right time to compose a great shot . I also admire his astrophotography and post production skills; it is not an easy feat to shoot and process multiple frames of the deep sky. Check out his instagram and website to see more of his work.
